Child's Dental Visit
Come And Visit Our Office
We know how you feel because the entire team at ADCKY are parents. We know how important it is only for only your child’s first dental visit but all their visits to be pain free and fun! That’s right fun. At ADCKY we strive to have a fun and lighthearted atmosphere. The American Dental Association recommends you have your child’s first dental appointment when they have all their baby teeth, around 2 years of age. At this age we look for any cavities and will clean their teeth if they are up for it. We do not force a child to have their teeth
clean. The most important thing at this age is to ensure there are no cavities and being to build a relationship where the child sees the ADCKY as a fun place to go.
If your child's first visit is coming up:
Do
-
Read them stories about going to the dentist.

Watch shows about going to the dentist.

"Practice" going to the dentist. Will they say aaah and let you look at their teeth?
Don't
-
Try to "scare" them into behaving.

Don't say "it won't hurt". This is a thought that may have not occured to them.
The ADCKY has been in practice for over 20 years. Many of our patients have brought their kids and then their grandkids to see us.
